Terms of use

Current version: September 20263-minute read

This is a translation, provided so you can read the terms in your own language. The Spanish version is the one that governs, and it is the one that applies in case of any difference.

Sprots is a service by krloz for logging training and for a coach and an athlete to work from the same information. By using the app you accept these terms. If you disagree with any of them, don't use the service.

1. What Sprots is, and what it isn't

Sprots is not a health service and is not medical advice. It doesn't diagnose, doesn't treat, and doesn't replace a professional. The loads, reps and progressions the app suggests are estimates calculated from what you yourself tell it, using public, well-known formulas, and they may not be right for you.

Training carries risk. Before starting an exercise programme — and especially if you have an injury, a medical condition, or you're pregnant — talk to a professional. You decide what to lift and when to stop.

When a coach prescribes a session, that prescription is theirs, not ours. Sprots is the tool they hand it to you with.

2. Your account

You need an account, and you sign in with an identity provider — today, Google. You're responsible for what happens from your account.

You must be at least 16 years old. If you're a minor, you need permission from whoever is responsible for you.

An account belongs to one person. Don't share it.

3. What you publish and what you share

A good part of Sprots is about sharing information with other people: your coach sees how you train, a gym sees its members, a training partner sees your streak. None of that happens unless you accept it, each permission is asked for separately, and you can withdraw any of them from My account.

If you publish a profile — as an athlete, a coach or a gym — you're responsible for what you write being true. Sprots does not verify qualifications, certifications or credentials, and we say so to whoever reads them.

Don't use Sprots to harass anyone, to publish other people's data without their permission, or to offer services you can't provide.

4. What we provide

We do what's reasonable to keep the service working and to look after your data, but the service is provided as is. We don't promise it will be available without interruption or free of errors.

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for injuries arising from training, for decisions you make based on what the app shows, or for what a coach or a gym you found here does with you. The relationship between you and your coach is between the two of you.

5. Charges

If any part of the service becomes paid, you'll be told beforehand, with the price and what it includes. Nothing is charged without your acceptance.

6. Ending

You can delete your account whenever you want from My account → Delete my account. That erases your personal data; what you shared with a coach stays in the record of that relationship, anonymised, because it's also that other person's work record.

We may suspend an account used to harm someone or to break the service.

7. Changes

If we change these terms, we'll show them to you and you'll have to accept them again before continuing to use the app. The version accepted and the date are recorded.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Chile, and any dispute is heard by the courts of Santiago.
